For Practices

Hiring questions

Which specialties do you recruit for?
We work across the recognized medical specialties. Our most common searches are in anesthesiology, cardiology, dermatology, ophthalmology, and radiology, but we cover everything from internal medicine and psychiatry to emergency, surgical, and pediatric subspecialties. If you're hiring for a specialty role, the answer is almost certainly yes.
How does your process work?
It starts with a conversation. We learn about your practice, your team, and what the right physician fit looks like. From there we tap our network and reach out discreetly to credentialed candidates, then bring you a shortlist of physicians we've already vetted on credentials, experience, and team fit.
How do you charge?
Our fees are simple and transparent, and we'd rather discuss them in the context of your specific role. Reach out and we'll walk you through the options that make sense for your practice or department.
What if the placement doesn't work out?
Every placement comes with a guarantee. If a hire doesn't work out within the agreed window, we re-run the search at no additional fee. We'll talk through the specifics on our first call.
Do you post our role on job boards?
Only if you ask us to. By default, every search runs through our private physician network and discreet outreach. This protects sensitive transitions, partner replacements, and team morale.
Can you help us hire an internationally trained physician?
Yes, this is a core part of what we do. We work with internationally trained physicians at every stage of the Canadian pathway, from exams and provincial registration to immigration and relocation. We can introduce you to physicians who are ready now and to physicians who will be ready in the timeframe that suits your role.
Where do you work?
Our network spans every Canadian province. Wherever your practice or hospital sits, we can typically support a specialist physician search in your market.
Can you help with practice transitions or succession?
Yes. Practice transitions, partner buy-ins, and succession searches are some of our most common engagements. We run them confidentially and can coordinate with your accountant or transition advisor on the structuring side.

The international pathway

I'm an international medical graduate. Where do I start?
Start with a conversation. The Canadian pathway depends on where you trained, which specialty you practice, and which province you're considering. We'll talk through your situation, map out a realistic plan, and stay with you through every step.
Do you help with licensing and exams?
Yes. We can't sit your exams for you, but we'll guide you through which exams apply to your pathway, the registration steps with the provincial College, and the timing. We've helped many physicians navigate this and we know where it tends to slow down.
What about immigration and visas?
We coordinate with trusted immigration partners on work permits, permanent residency, and family sponsorship. You're not on your own with the paperwork.
Can you help with relocation, housing, and schools?
Yes. Choosing a city, finding a neighbourhood, lining up schools, renting or buying. We help you build the practical plan so your family lands well, not just so you do.
How early should I contact you?
Earlier than you think. Some of our best conversations start two years before the move. The earlier we know what you're working toward, the more we can do to make the right role and the right city line up with the right moment.

Career questions

Is there any cost to me as a physician?
No. Our fees are paid by the hiring practice or hospital. There is no cost to physicians, ever, whether you place with us or not.
Will my current employer find out I'm exploring options?
Not from us. Your CV is never shared without your explicit permission for each specific role. We don't post your information anywhere. The conversation stays between us until you decide otherwise.
I'm not sure I want to leave my current role. Should I still talk to you?
Yes. Many of the physicians we place weren't actively looking when we first met. The first call is just an honest market read, with no pressure to move.
What kinds of roles do you have?
A mix of associate roles, partner-track positions, succession opportunities, and hospital and academic positions across the recognized specialties. Most of our roles never reach a public job board.
How often will I hear from you?
Only when something genuinely fits. We don't run a generic newsletter. After our intro call, expect a thoughtful email when a relevant role surfaces.
Do you help with negotiation and the move?
Yes. Compensation structure, partner buy-in terms when applicable, College transfers between provinces, and the practical work of relocating. We help you walk into the conversation prepared.
